'503 Service Temporarily Unavailable' message

Visitors to your web site may receive the following message in their web browser:

503 Error
Resource limit exceeded

If you are seeing this page, your site is exceeding the allowed resources on the server.

This message appears when:

  • Your account usage exceeds the allotted amount of simultaneous HTTP connections, which varies by plan:
    • The StartUp plan is limited to 15 simultaneous HTTP connections.
    • The Drive, Turbo Boost, and Turbo Max plans are limited to 50 simultaneous HTTP connections.
    • Turbo Boost and Turbo Max plans with Performance Plus are limited to 100 simultaneous HTTP connections.
  • Your account usage exceeds predefined CPU or memory limits.
Additionally, this message can appear if you have a Ruby on Rails application that is not currently running.

When account usage returns to acceptable levels, visitors no longer receive the “503 Service Temporarily Unavailable” message.
